Ahh fashion week, one of the best holidays of the year! Here we discover trend alerts, and previews of what will arrive in the upcoming seasons. Trends come and go, just like our money. Here are a few trends guaranteed to bring out that inner diva/divo, turn heads, and not break that piggy bank or overwork that visa.
1) Color!
Dynamic Duo Richie Rich, and Traver Rains teamed up to create the glamorous Heatherette. Splashing onto the scene in 1999 they are well known for their creatively edged fashion show in compliance with their line. Bright colors, sequins, and all together diva are the compliance's that make up this line. They designed it for those on the streets to see a garment and gasp in excitement, "THAT IS HEATHERETTE!"
London's 2009 fashion show, previewed the display of an array of colors. Closely to the Heatherette ad, this line shares the similar color palette, however the line seems to have had the chic woman on the go in mind. It is beautifully colored, in addition to being highly functional.
Taking the colorfully creative cue from Heatherette, Livid Thorn based in the UK city of Manchester ( they ship globally) have created their own unique style of color, and imagination. Tired of all the bland T-Shirts, and cliche designs Nat, and Cez began experimenting with colors, and creating a variety of characters for their line, each with their own distinguished personality.
For Girls:
Brightly colored pink, with that adorable creature this design is definitely for anyone seeking a harder creative edge.
For Guys: Brightly colored a darker purple, this shirt definitely depicts that childlike imagination that we all carry with us.
2)
A hit on the runway in Michael Kors fall 2008 show. The sexy librarian look is definitely here to stay. Simply add glasses to finish any look. How simple and chic is that?!
